2010 OLS SAINTS - SUMMER HIGHLIGHTS 

Alex Malzone was selected for the 13u All American Baseball team.  Per Travel Ball Select "Alex is a repeat Travel Ball Select All American. He went 16-2 on the mound this summer as he provided key innings for the #10 ranked Michigan Mudhens team this summer. Alex "Hammer" Malzone also hit 515, 3 HR and 78 RBI."  Way to go Alex!

The 2010 AAU Jr. Olympics, held in Norfolk Virginia, included two of our very own OLS students in track and field events. Jillian Yassay, competing in her 1st Jr. Olympics qualifying in the shot put.  Jillian achieved a personal best of 22 ft. 4 in. Way to go (I mean put) Jillian.
 
Lance Yassay, a 2 time Jr. Olympian, qualified in the high jump and cleared a personal best height of 5 feet 2 inches.  This height won him a 7th place finish in the nation.  This is Lance’s second Jr. Olympic Medal in the high jump.
