All liturgical ministers, except Altar Servers, currently ministering in the parish are encouraged to attend the EVENING OF REFLECTION AND FORMATION on Tuesday, October 5, at 7:00 PM in the church. All new ministers are also invited to attend; however, training of new sacristans, lectors, EMEs and altar servers will take place on alternate dates. The LITURGICAL MINISTER FORMATION will include formal commissioning and a recommitment to the ministry. Sacristans and Lectors who do not attend will not be scheduled until they turn in a ministry commitment form. Lectors will pick up the Lector Workbook on October 5th following the formation session. The presenter for the Evening of Reflection and Formation will be Sr. Angela Hibbard, IHM, PhD. Sr. Angela comes to us with extensive parish ministry experience, specializing in liturgy and theological formation. Angela Hibbard, IHM, DMin, is a seasoned pastoral minister, author, faculty member, and leader of adult formation programs, RCIA, and gives retreats and workshops, as well as ministerial training. She currently ministers in the community of Gesu as Pastoral Associate and a faculty member of the Ecumenical Theological Seminary. Sr. Angela is uniquely gifted in helping individuals discover and contribute their gifts both to the church community and wider society. |
