Baptism is the public celebration of the beginning of life in the Church. At the celebration of Infant Baptism, parents publicly affirm their decision to raise their children in the faith. Parents who are registered parishioners may contact the parish office (248) 474-5720 to arrange an interview with a member of the pastoral staff and schedule Baptism for their infant. Both parents should plan to attend one catechetical session before the child is born. Preparation class for parents is held on the last Monday of the month (7:30 to 9:00 pm). Godparents are always welcome to attend this session as well. Baptisms are celebrated on the first and third Sunday of each month at 2:15 pm. |
